The Residences at Kenilworth Park in Washington, DC is a new community operated by HallBridge Partners. This brand new construction of 157 units will address the need for assisted living in Ward 7 and beyond. In addition, the community features outdoor terraces, a pedestrian boardwalk to local parks and gardens, and is pet-friendly. 

If your income is below $32,904 per year (as of 2023, subject to change) and if you do not have countable assets of more than $4,000, you may be able to get help from DC Medicaid through a program called the Elderly and Persons with Physical Disabilities Waiver (EPD Waiver). To be eligible for the EPD Waiver, you must meet a nursing home level of care as determined by a face-to-face assessment. This assessment is done by DC Medicaid’s contractor, Liberty Health, when you apply for the EPD Waiver. It is separate from the assessments that the staff of The Residences conduct. Once enrolled in the EPD Waiver, Medicaid will cover the monthly fees for the cost of services, but you still must pay for your room and board, which is typically less than your monthly social security check. Depending on your income, you may also have to make a contribution to the cost of your services. If your income is very low, ($10,968 or less in 2023) you may also be eligible for a Supplemental Payment to help pay for the cost of room and board.
